KAISER SURGICAL SERVICE LINE SUMMIT
Behind the Coverage:
A successful corporate summit is about more than presentations and business discussions. It also gives employees an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and strengthen relationships outside their usual work environment.
Pro Video Foto provided photography and video coverage for the Kaiser Surgical Service Line Summit, documenting an outdoor day of friendly competition, team activities, and employee engagement.
Because several activities were happening simultaneously, our coverage had to move with the event. We captured the larger setting, the individual competitions, and the candid reactions that showed the personality of the group.
The Assignment
The objective was to create a complete visual record of the summit without making the day feel overly staged.
Employees moved between interactive games and team challenges spread across the outdoor venue. Some activities required concentration and teamwork, while others created spontaneous celebrations, laughter, and friendly competition.
Our role was to identify those moments as they developed and capture them through both photography and video.
The coverage included:
- Employees participating in team-building activities
- Friendly competitions and interactive games
- Natural conversations between colleagues
- Group photographs and candid portraits
- Reactions, celebrations, and winning moments
- Event staff coordinating activities
- Medals, game stations, and supporting details
- Wide views establishing the outdoor environment
- Video footage showing the pace of the experience
Giving an Unscripted Event a Visual Structure
Unlike a conference with a fixed stage schedule, an outdoor team-building event can move in several directions at once. Different groups may be participating in separate activities while important reactions happen across the venue.
Our approach was to build the coverage around three visual layers.
Establishing the Environment
Wide photographs and video shots showed the venue, activity stations, participating teams, and overall layout. These visuals gave the coverage context and communicated the size of the experience.
Following the Action
We moved between games to capture employees actively participating rather than only photographing the equipment or completed setup.
Action-oriented coverage included moments of concentration, competition, teamwork, and celebration. This helped the final gallery and video feel energetic instead of static.
Finding the Human Moments
Some of the strongest event images happen between scheduled activities. Coworkers laugh, congratulate one another, discuss the competition, or pause for a photograph together.
These candid interactions gave the coverage personality and showed the connections being built throughout the summit.
Photography for Employee Engagement and Company Culture
Professional corporate event photography can help an organization communicate what its workplace feels like beyond the office.
Photographs of employees collaborating and enjoying an experience together can support recruiting, internal communications, company newsletters, presentations, and future event promotion.
For a healthcare organization, this type of content can also recognize the people behind the work. It provides a more personal view of the teams that support patients, departments, and daily operations.
Rather than relying entirely on posed group photos, we created a mix of polished portraits and documentary-style images. This produced a gallery that felt professional while remaining natural.
Video That Preserves the Energy
The photographs created a collection of individual highlights, while the video footage captured how the summit unfolded.
Movement, reactions, friendly competition, and the transition between activities all helped communicate the energy of the day. By capturing wide shots, closer action, and candid interactions, we created footage that could bring the full experience together in a corporate event recap.
This type of video can be shared internally, used during future company meetings, published on social media, or shown to employees who were unable to attend.
It can also help event planners demonstrate the success of the program when preparing the next summit or employee engagement experience.
What This Project Demonstrates
The Kaiser Surgical Service Line Summit required us to cover multiple activities while maintaining a consistent look across the photographs and video footage.
It demonstrates our ability to:
- Work within an active corporate environment
- Follow several activities across one venue
- Capture employees naturally and professionally
- Balance wide coverage with individual moments
- Document branded events without interrupting them
- Provide both photography and video through one team
- Create content with long-term marketing and internal value
Our team can scale its coverage based on the event schedule, venue, number of activities, and final content requirements.
